Taming Compliance with Growing Global Breach Regulations
Friday. May 3 at 8:00 AM in Salon 10, Level M2
The breadth and complexity of new and amended global data breach and cyber security regulations, and the risks and consequences for noncompliance, is unprecedented. Given the risks, it is imperative that organizations develop effective frameworks to comply with these regulations, many of which impose strict incident risk assessment requirements and notification timelines. This poses a significant operational challenge for multi-national organizations, as regulations constantly shift, new threats emerge, and enforcement actions evolve. Attendees will leave this session armed with knowledge about trends in global privacy and cybersecurity regulatory frameworks, best practices in blending strategic legal guidance and technology to keep up with and comply with global data breach notification requirements and contractual obligations.
