Alex Layng
Alex Layng is the Vice President of Product at RadarFirst, where he leads the company’s product strategy and innovation initiatives focused on AI governance, regulatory risk management, and intelligent compliance operations. He has played a key role in evolving the RadarFirst platform from incident response to a proactive, AI-forward regulatory risk solution designed for organizations operating in highly regulated, high-trust environments.
Alex specializes in translating complex regulatory, operational, and customer requirements into scalable product capabilities that organizations can confidently adopt and trust. His work focuses on responsible AI adoption, governance frameworks, and the development of intelligent systems that improve operational accountability, transparency, and decision-making at scale.
Prior to serving as VP of Product, Alex held several strategic leadership roles at RadarFirst, including Chief of Staff and Director of Strategic Projects, where he led cross-functional initiatives spanning product, operations, and organizational growth. Before joining RadarFirst, he worked at INSIGHT2PROFIT, leading enterprise operational and pricing initiatives for large national clients.
Alex brings a uniquely interdisciplinary perspective to product leadership, combining analytical rigor, systems thinking, and practical execution shaped by experience across consulting, operations, and academia. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Earth and Planetary Sciences and Classics from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Geosciences from the University of Iowa. He is particularly passionate about how organizations can operationalize AI responsibly by embedding governance, trust, and accountability into intelligent systems at scale.
