Cybersecurity notification requirements are becoming as prevalent and complicated as current privacy notification laws. Despite the lack of universally defined triggers, organizations with a nuanced understanding of privacy best practices can qualify “risk of harm” and avoid expending precious “awareness currency” on cyber policies. This session will provide insights on cyber notifications as they pertain to events and individuals to better define a cyber “state of harm.”

What you will learn:

  • Cutting through the noise to define clear notification triggers.
  • A deep dive into qualifying “risk of harm.” Actionable notification decision guidance from privacy best practices.

As privacy pros’ heads spin trying to keep up with technological advances and ever-changing legislative landscapes, we hit the pause button – at least for a few moments – to reflect on how cutting-edge organizations of all shapes and sizes are weaving privacy education into their ethos. Set against the backdrop of emerging privacy considerations that evolve daily across a multitude of industries, our panelists share their firsthand experiences of leading from the front and going beyond a compliance-centric approach to creating a true culture of privacy for both their own teams, and the clients that they serve.

What you will learn:

  • Hands-on suggestions and ideas for how to build and enhance your organization’s privacy IQ using real-life case studies.
  • Recommendations on winning support for your program both within, and outside, of the privacy office, including the development of privacy champions.
  • Examples of how different organizations embed privacy by design into their company’s DNA through their unique approaches to privacy education and awareness.
